Flowserve energy recovery turbines are designed and manufactured specifically for reverse osmosis desalination. They can recover the hydraulic energy stored in the brine stream, converting it into rotary power for the high-pressure pumps. Based on Pelton turbine design, Flowserve ERTs are highly efficient and reliable. They have been installed in nearly 1000 SWRO and BWRO plants worldwide, with a total installed capacity in excess of 350 MW.
