Climate refers to the Environmental pillar of our ESG strategy, where Flowserve has a focus on reducing our environmental footprint and delivering solutions to reduce customer emissions. To address climate change in our operations, Flowserve is focused on top-priority issues of energy efficiency, GHG emissions, digitization of operations and product safety and quality, while providing superior products and services that advance environmental improvement.
In 2019, we set an ambitious target of reducing our Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 40% by 2030. As of Dec. 31, 2021, we have achieved 57% of that goal and continue to make progress through targeted energy efficiency projects in our facilities.
